Wordless Wednesday – Ottawa Tulip Festival

This was our second year taking in the Tulip Festival in Ottawa. These pictures were taken on May 6; the weather was perfect, the flowers were beautiful and we enjoyed it so much that we went again the following weekend! While we were downtown we took a walk over to Parliament and shared a snack on the lawn.

The Tulip Festival is on until May 21 so if you’re around the Ottawa area for the long weekend I highly recommend taking it in!

Ashlyn was (and is) all about swings, but for Rowan it’s the slide. If you’re not careful, she’ll even try to climb up it to give you a ‘subtle’ hint that she’d like to slide now. The parks should be fun this summer!

Wordless Wednesday – RCMP Musical Ride Stables

We had a chance to visit the stables of the RCMP Musical Ride this past weekend when they had an open house. The girls loved seeing all of the horses and there were lots of fun activities – like an obstacle course and some police vehicles to check out!
The stables are open to the public year round (check here for the hours) and I highly recommend going if you’re in Ottawa.
