My family is loving the trend of special short features starring the characters of our favourite movies. I find it particularly nice because my 4.5 year old is very nervous about watching new movies and frequently decides that she doesn't like them before they even get started. Knowing the characters that she's going to watch, and hearing our usual refrain of "it's all ok in the end", helps her to give new movies a real shot, and usually leads to new favourites!

Amid all the hustle and bustle of the holidays - and can you believe there is still almost a month until Christmas? While I love how they play with their toys, spending time as a family playing a game is a fun childhood memory of mine and I'm looking forward to creating similar memories for our girls. Educational Insights sent me a couple of fun things that will have the girls laughing, learning and exploring.
First up is Raccoon Rumpus™: A game of costumes, critters, matching, and memory! Read more [...]

At the same time, we have a new holiday to look forward to and I'm not really interested in singing Halloween songs anymore. NCircle Entertainment came to my rescue and sent us a "The Wiggles: Taking Off!" featuring the new Wiggles that Rowan loves. Now at least I can have a bit of variety and we can learn some new songs together. I was very surprised Read more [...]
