My family is loving the trend of special short features starring the characters of our favourite movies. I find it particularly nice because my 4.5 year old is very nervous about watching new movies and frequently decides that she doesn't like them before they even get started. Knowing the characters that she's going to watch, and hearing our usual refrain of "it's all ok in the end", helps her to give new movies a real shot, and usually leads to new favourites!

On Sunday morning, the girls were eager to get outside and play in our first dusting of snow.
(yes, they're playing 'hockey' with golf clubs) Then they woke up to this today:
Ashlyn was off to school despite the bus cancellations, delighted to be able to play with her friends outside in all of this wonderful snow at recess. Rowan made snow angels and played happily in the snow for over an hour while I shoveled.

There are going to be lots of games under our tree this year and I'm excited to share them with my daughters! While I love how they play with their toys, spending time as a family playing a game is a fun childhood memory of mine and I'm looking forward to creating similar memories for our girls.
