My husband has been working some unusual hours this summer, so I needed to find something to watch while I'm on my own after the girls go to bed. I'm so lucky to have a handy husband! We bought the Ikea SUNDVIK children's table two years ago for Ashlyn's birthday and while it's still in great shape, it doesn't seem as big now as it once did. I remember when we could get 6 toddlers to sit around it for snack time and now my own two daughters can barely share it when it comes time to do crafts. I have become quite a fan of having my daughters' favourites shows on DVD. I used to think it was silly, but when we travel it's nice to have a few shorter shows that we can put on at Grandma and Grandpa's or when we're visiting someone who doesn't have Treehouse or Disney Junior available. The Octonauts are a new favourite around here and my daughters were very happy to open a package from NCircle Entertainment that contained "Octonauts: Calling All Sharks"!

Art, in all it's forms, is an obsession for my daughters these days. They would literally colour, cut, paste and glitter glue for hours if I let them; some days I do, some days they get kicked outside to enjoy some fresh air!
