I originally posted this recipe in September 2012 and I've been making it regularly ever since! To save some time in the morning, I made the dough last night and baked the scones this morning and they were the best I've ever had, so I've updated the recipe to include this step. The two glazes are an extra special treat; usually, I just make the spiced glaze and that's more than enough sweetness. Enjoy! I will be the first to admit that while our house is full of books and bookworms who love them, I do not have a clue about how to teach my children to actually read on their own. Luckily for me, Libre Tea has a new line of tea glasses out and I was sent a Starburst Tea Glass to try out!
For the record, the tea above was an herbal loose-leaf that is supposed to be that colour. I have Read more [...]

There is the perfect clutch for a quick run to the grocery store where I'm just bringing keys and my wallet (check), a perfect cross-body bag for a morning at the museum that involves bringing some snacks and maybe a small camera (check), but what I was missing was a bag that was large enough to take to my classes at night but wasn't so big that I over-pack Read more [...]
