I love the colours of fall and since the girls are growing so fast (Ashlyn is 2.5 and Rowan is already 7 months old) we took some time this morning to brave the cool fall weather to have some family pictures taken outdoors in Ottawa. I'm already trying to figure out where we can display them!

It's been cold and rainy and very "fall" like around here and I wanted to make some comfort food for dinner the other night. This recipe comes from the mom of a childhood friend of mine; I actually had to call my mom to get it because I'd lost my copy and nothing that I could find online sounded right. We just spent our Thanksgiving weekend with both sides of our families and had a wonderful time. My girls are so lucky to have loving families within visiting distance, and with Thanksgiving over (for us Canadians) and Christmas on the way, it's a time of year that I really take stock of how blessed we are and try to give back to those in need.
