I love my brownie recipe but I also love to try new things. I was watching Food Network one day last week and one of my favourite shows, “Throwdown with Bobby Flay” was on and they were having a brownie throwdown (for those of you who don’t watch Food Network, it’s basically a competition to . . . → Read More: What’s for dessert – Bobby Flay’s Peanut Butter Caramel Swirled Brownies

I was having a rough day today (a toddler who refuses a nap when Mommy has a cold will make for a long day) and I needed a little pick-me-up. I was chatting with my friend Beth of Keeping The Shiny Side Up and she suggested a really simple but really tasty little treat for . . . → Read More: What’s for snack time – Minty hot chocolate

Snickerdoodles are my brothers favourite Christmas cookies, so I’ve been baking them for him for years. They’re also great for mailing and for cookie exchanges because one recipe makes a TON! I can’t wait until Ashlyn is old enough to help, I think she’ll really enjoy rolling the cookies in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

I’ve made these shortbread cookies for years. It’s another recipe from my Aunt Jina and they are by far the best shortbread cookies I’ve ever made. They were my grandpa’s favourite and I’d send them to him every year at Christmas.

I make these every year; the recipe came from a girl on a bridal forum I used when I was planning my wedding 4 years ago. They taste like cinnamon buns! Happy Halloween! My little pirate is taking a nap so I thought I’d post this delicious pumpkin cookie recipe, from Martha Stewart. I made them a few days ago and they are perfect alone or with a steamy mug of tea – which is something I’m craving since there is snow on the ground here . . . → Read More: What’s for Halloween – Pumpkin Cookies

To me, at least. Now that it’s cool outside, all I want to do is bake. Mostly really unhealthy, tasty stuff – can I blame the baby for that? I have just recently discovered The Pioneer Woman and I can tell it’s going to be a big, big problem for me. This weekend I will . . . → Read More: Fall means baking

It was my 29th birthday last Monday and I asked my husband to make me a chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. He found this recipe from Mike’s Table and it was devine! He decided against the chocolate ganache as a topping and instead used some whipped cream and chocolate shavings…let’s just say the leftovers didn’t last . . . → Read More: What’s for dessert – Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake

I know, that title sets the bar pretty high, but these are super easy and TO DIE FOR. Unless you use a sugar replacement, then they’re terrible and you cry. Uh, not that that happened to me or anything. Anyways, I apologize for no picture, I don’t seem to have one from a previous . . . → Read More: Bombproof Brownies ~ The Best Brownie Recipe Ever!
