Dreaming of Summer

Am I the only crazy person trying to plan out my summer when it’s still the middle of winter? While the girls are still having fun playing in the snow, I am so done with the cold and snow and amount of effort it takes to do anything! What We’re Reading: Picture Books

We’ve always been regulars at our local branch of the Ottawa Public Library, but now that I’m taking a course specifically about children’s books, we’re spending even more time than usual reading as a family. Wordless Wednesday – Skating

Ashlyn is really into winter for some reason this year. I’m not a fan of the cold, but I remember how much I loved skating when I was little so after a trip to a used sporting good store to get myself and Ashlyn some skates, we headed out one mild Saturday afternoon to have some family fun. Wordless Wednesday – First Snow

On Sunday morning, the girls were eager to get outside and play in our first dusting of snow. (yes, they’re playing ‘hockey’ with golf clubs) Then they woke up to this today: Ashlyn was off to school despite the bus cancellations, delighted to be able to play with her friends outside in all of this wonderful snow at recess.
