Wordless Wednesday – Winterlude 2013

The weather was slightly less freezing on Sunday so we decided to attempt Winterlude.  The last time that we went was 2 years ago so we were excited to check it out.  We got to cross on the canal – no skating for us this time – and see some of the sculptors working on their ice sculptures!  Unfortunately the wind and cold were just too much for the preschooler so our visit was much shorter than we hoped.  Winterlude runs until February 18th so if you’re in Ottawa, make sure to check it out!   Read more […]

The years are short

Wordless Wednesday – Picking Halloween pumpkins

We usually go to a pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins right from the field, but rainy weather and travel have foiled our plans so this year we went to a local farm and choose from their stacks.  There was a hay bale stack to climb, loads of pumpkins, a petting zoo and even free pony rides (Ashlyn doesn’t look very impressed in the picture but she had fun, honest) so we had a great time with a bit less work than usual!
