Happy Halloween

This is the first year that I’ve made my daughters’ Halloween costumes. While teaching myself how to crochet this summer, I came across a pattern for an R2D2 hat and it took no convincing at all to get my girls on board with a Star Wars theme! I also crocheted the belt for Princess Leia and her dress is made from an XL shirt I found on clearance at Joe Fresh; R2D2 is an XL Joe Fresh tank, also on clearance. I’m pretty proud of how the costumes turned out and I think my daughters love them too! Did Read more […]

My new craft obsession: crochet

I cut somewhere around 2-3 inches off the leg of an old pair of jeans. Hold it so the seams are at the sides. Then Read more […]

Our Ikea Hack: adding a storage shelf to SUNDVIK children’s table

I’m so lucky to have a handy husband! We bought the Ikea SUNDVIK children’s table two years ago for Ashlyn’s birthday and while it’s still in great shape, it doesn’t seem as big now as it once did. I remember when we could get 6 toddlers to sit around it for snack time and now my own two daughters can barely share it when it comes time to do crafts. I thought about buying a second table and sitting them back to back, but this one table fits perfectly into the space that we have for it, and buying Read more […]
