A few years ago, when we lived in Northern Alberta, I worked for the Forestry division as a Logistics Coordinator.  I didn’t work in Slave Lake itself but all of the different Forestry departments in the province worked together to fight fires all season long.  Watching Slave Lake literally burn . . . → Read More: Slave Lake is burning

Wordless Wednesday – Beautiful Bouquet

DSC_0033

We have been lucky enough that ever since Rowan was born, we’ve had beautiful bouquets arriving from friends and family.  The best part is that somehow whenever one bouquet dies we seem to get another the next day.  These beauties are from my dear friend Amy (creator of Splendid Events and her husband.

Partly because it’s not something that can be done while my toddler is . . . → Read More: My Christmas Tree Confession

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

KodakM3200021

2010 has been an amazing year for me and my family.  We were lucky enough to experience the Olympics first-hand in Vancouver; moved back across the country to Ontario in the spring and are now closer to our families, who we have been far away from for years; Ashlyn has gone from a baby . . . → Read More: Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

Wordless Wednesday – Cat in a bag

001-13

Our girl cat (Echo) prefers a nice box, but the boy cat (Gimli) can’t resist a bag…even if it means he somehow gets stuck in two different sized handles!
