Wordless Wednesday – Ottawa Tulip Festival

This was our second year taking in the Tulip Festival in Ottawa.  These pictures were taken on May 6; the weather was perfect, the flowers were beautiful and we enjoyed it so much that we went again the following weekend!  While we were downtown we took a walk over to Parliament and shared a snack on . . . → Read More: Wordless Wednesday – Ottawa Tulip Festival

May the Fourth Be With You

Can you tell our whole family are fans of Star Wars?  I wasn’t really into sci-fi before I met my husband but I must  admit that my inner geek has really come out the last few (er, 9) years that we’ve been together!   On Star Wars day, May the Fourth be with you

Spring?

When Ashlyn told me, with wonder and glee, that it was snowing this morning, I thought she was teasing me.  Guess we shouldn’t have taken off the snow tires last week.

What’s the weather like where you are this morning?

Wordless Wednesday – RCMP Musical Ride Stables

My husband gave me this fabulous tea pot for Christmas almost 2 years ago and it gets used almost daily from fall through spring.  I need my coffee in the morning, but I’m a tea girl the rest of the day!

Surprise Wedding: Operation White Cake

It’s our fourth wedding anniversary today, so it seems appropriate to post a wedding-related video.  This was posted on a forum that I’m on and it’s so sweet and touching: a groom who spent a year asking his wife-to-be casual questions about what she’d like to have for her wedding, just so he could . . . → Read More: Surprise Wedding: Operation White Cake

Canada Day aftermath

Park

Tonight my 2 year old asked to go to the park.  It was a little later than we usually head out, but she’d had a good nap this afternoon and it was still light out, so at 8pm we walked down the street to our neighbourhood park.

The park that the many children in our neighbourhood use.
