I have been working with Personal-Planner.com for the last 3 years, and I’m so pleased to share all of the fun new options that they’ve added since my 2015 Personal-Planner.com review!
The first step is always to choose your size. I liked the square one that I used last year so much that I ordered it again! I found that there was plenty of room to write in each day, but it was still compact enough to fit easily into my purse, which is important because I take my planner everywhere. I don’t trust myself to remember things so I have to write them down!
Because I like to make lists, I kept my daily layout vertical and added lines. You can personalize EVERYTHING from the cover to the colours to the daily layout to the modules at the bottom. I really used the “dinners” module to help us plan our meals, so that had to come back. I love a good “to do” list, so that’s back too. This year, I’ve brought back the “list” module because I found I was using the lined space I had last year to make a list anyways, so this way I can fit more in. I also have my personal dates added in so I won’t forget birthdays, anniversaries, or any other important dates!
My favourite change is how the back pages are set up this year. It is so much easier to pick what you want, because you aren’t limited to 2 or 3 sections. Instead, you have 18 pages (for my square size, at least) and you can pick whatever combination you like of the option until you hit that limit! I need the 2018 year overview for appointments and special occasions that need to be scheduled before I have a planner dedicated to it, and I chose the colouring pages so I’ll have something to offer my daughters to do if we get stuck waiting somewhere. I used lined pages to bring up my total to 18 because I like having that extra writing room. Again, I wish that you could choose just 2 pages for the address book because I do not require 6 pages, but I’ll just tuck the sheet I have into the plastic sleeve that is included with each order.
You may have noticed some stickers and a cute pink pen in the shot of the inside of my planner. That’s because those are accessories that you can select from! All planners come with one sheet of stickers, but I chose to order a second because they were so fun. The “Happy Birthday” banner in that picture is a sticker from the set! The pink pen is by FriXion and it’s erasable. Yup, a pen that you can erase – and it really does work! I also have a black one and I find that they write fairly smoothly and they are very fine. I’m happy with both of them and you can choose to add one to your order when you check out.
I wouldn’t keep working with Personal-Planner.com if I didn’t truly enjoy their product. You can ask anyone who knows me, odds are very good that they have seen my planner in person – particularly since I use personal picture collages on it so I show it off if someone asks about my family – or have at least heard me reference my need to check it before I commit to a date. The shipping is always quite fast and the price and quality really can’t be beat. If you’d like to order one for yourself, use the code S-HINE-2017 when you check out and it will give you 10% off until January 5th!
