Halloween may not be my favourite holiday (that would be Christmas), but LUSH has given me few new reasons to enjoy it with their Limited Edition Halloween Collection! Available both in LUSH stores, and at LUSH online, they are sure to go fast. I was excited to open my package from LUSH (aside: mail never smells as good as it does when there is a package from LUSH!) to find Nightwing shower jelly in addition to the Lord of Misrule shower cream and bath bomb, because despite my many years of LUSH love, I have never tried one of their shower jellies!
This is what LUSH has to say about the Halloween Collection items that I received:
Lord of Misrule bath bomb
Inspired by the ruler of the Pagan Feast of Fools, Lord of Misrule brings mischievous revelry to the tub with a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper oil. As it slowly froths in the water, hypnotic swirling silver luster is released and the deep green exterior soon gives way to a rich, wine-colored center. Just like at the Feast of Fools, when the wine begins flowing, the revelry really begins! Popping candies fizz and crackle, creating a world of magic and mischief right before your eyes.
Nightwing shower jelly
A fang-tastically fruity jelly to put the bite back into bathtime. When the dark night rises, seek the fruity candy-scented salvation of this aloe vera and lime juice jelly and cover yourself in a sweet, carrageenan lather. For an extra stimulating hit, use it fresh from the fridge or freezer. A hint of vitamin E-rich carob syrup delivers extra nourishment to the body and adds to that deliciously fruity perfume.
Lord of Misrule shower cream
A feast for the senses! Get down and earthy with this mischievous, herbal blend of patchouli, peppercorn and black pepper with an intriguing fair trade vanilla sweetness. As you rub this addictive lather all over the body, organic wheatgerm oil provides a nourishing dose of vitamin E to ensure your skin is in fine (and fragrant) party form. You won’t be the fool after washing with this.
Normally I am not drawn to products that include patchouli, but I can’t get enough of Lord of Misrule! The bath bomb was a very fun experience: the water started out green, then the wine colour started leaving swirls and the popping candies start doing their thing. In the end, the water is a murky black but it didn’t stain my skin or my tub. There are enough other components that the patchouli is not the stand-out scent.
The Nightwing shower jelly reminds me of a particular candy that I haven’t had in ages (Winegums, and now I want a pack) and I was really impressed with how much lather I got from a tiny piece. It’s far too cold outside for this trick now, but in the summer I am definitely going to have to try keeping a LUSH shower jelly in the fridge for those days that only a cool shower can help!
Don’t wait to pick up your LUSH Limited Edition Halloween Collection or this treat will become a trick when they’re sold out!
