Stonz has been a favourite brand of mine ever since Ashlyn was a little toddler in her Stonz Booties. I have worked with Stonz a number of times over the years and their products have always held up to be passed down at least from big sister to little sister, if not also to a friend after. While the current weather is just easing into fall now, I know that Ottawa has a tendency to jump hard into winter when it arrives and I like to be prepared early. I was thrilled when we were sent a pair of their Stonz Winter Bootz in their new Slate Blue/Black colour for Ashlyn to wear this winter.
What makes Stonz Winter Bootz so special?

- Water and wind-resistant 600D nylon upper
- Moisture wicking, removable felt Radiantex inner lining
- Adjustable drawstring, buckle-closure and Velcro-closure for a customized fit
- Made in Canada
Last winter, I waited too long to contact Stonz and wasn’t able to work with them, so I decided to save a bit of money and buy a different brand of boot. What a mistake! We cursed those boots and their non-removable liners all winter long. When kids are outside for recess a few times a day, plus possibly walking too and from school, you need boots that are easy for them to put on and take off on their own, are light and can be dried quickly when they inevitably get wet. I’m actually considering getting myself a pair since I still fit into kids sizes!
The Slate Blue/Black combo will match Ashlyn’s snowsuit nicely this year, and Rowan is happy to be wearing her big sister’s outgrown Pink/Black pair, but I know that both girls are really hoping that purple makes the cut next year. Make sure to check out Stonz on Facebook and on Twitter at @StonzWear!
