It’s been about a year since I taught myself to crochet and quite a while since I’ve posted pictures of my projects. I’ve been keeping a pretty steady pace and wanted to share!
I had to remake Rowan’s hat that I linked to above because she grew and it didn’t fit anymore. This picture was taken in January – I really hope it still fits her this fall! I’m pretty sure that I used this shells baby hat with earflaps pattern but I made a different flower.
I made Ashlyn a doll blanket using the Moogly Loopy Love Blanket pattern. Oddly, this is the best picture that I have of it.
Rowan’s doll blanket took a lot longer since I decided to make 24 Moogly’s Riley flower squares and join them together into a blanket. I love how it turned out, even if I did get a little bored of making all those granny squares!
Can you tell what these are?
As soon as I saw the pattern for light saber freezie holders I knew that I had to make them. I had a heck of a time trying – and failing! – to get my lines to meet up straight at the back, but the girls don’t care so neither do I.
Finally, I’ve made myself a cowl. I used the Moogly infinity scarf pattern (I really like how Tamara writes her patterns so I tend to check Moogly first when I’m looking for inspiration) but just went until I ran out of yarn and then joined it together to get a shorter cowl length.
Next up are a couple of blankets to give as gifts. It just occurred to me the other day that as long as I can find a PDF of the pattern that I want to use, I can load it onto my Kobo instead of having to print them all off. We have a long drive coming up so I’m hoping to make some serious progress!
What have you been up to this summer? Anything crafty?
