June is a busy month, full of events to celebrate and memories to make! Some kids are already done with school, or will be very soon. There are graduations a every level from nursery school through graduate degrees, Father’s Day, the start of summer, family pictures – June covers a lot of beginnings and endings and everything in between! That’s a lot of pictures to take and I know that in our family, if I don’t get those memories printed and displayed immediately it is just not going to happen. Posterjack had the perfect present for Father’s Day for my husband in their woodstand print, which is made from select Canadian Douglas fir and renewably sourced in British Columbia and includes a print on solid, durable 1/4-inch thick board. He loved it so much that it’s already on his desk at work before I was able to get a real life shot of it! One thing that I forgot to take into account was how the board sits in the frame: the bottom 1/4 inch or so will be blocked by the woodstand.
In my previous Posterjack post I mentioned that I was looking forward to seeing the peel and stick poster that my mom had ordered. She brought them with her on her last visit and I was so impressed that I wanted to get some for our home. Since we had some lovely pictures taken of my daughters with their grandparents, I also ordered them a 12×12 peel and stick poster for their room.
This is just a portion of the poster to give you and idea of how it looks. The colour was very true to the original picture, and the linen texture of the poster itself gives it an expensive look that is far beyond the price point! You can see that texture better in the picture below. Displaying couldn’t be easier: just peel off the backing, position on the wall and flatten. Put it up crooked? No problem, just peel it off the wall and try again! It took me a couple of tries to get it just right and there was no damage to the wall, paint or poster when I repositioned it.
One important thing to note is that when you upload a picture and begin editing your project, at the bottom of the screen is a box that is automatically checked off for Posterjack to enhance the colour and clarity of your image. If you are using a picture from a professional photographer, you will want to deselect that box because your picture should already be enhanced!
