Alton Brown Live! is coming to Ottawa and you can win tickets here (#giveaway)

When I saw the video that Alton Brown posted on Facebook revealing that he was bringing his Edible Inevitable tour to Canada, I was hopeful but wasn’t really expecting to be able to see his show. Ottawa tends to get skipped in favour of stops in Toronto and Montreal (understandable, but disappointing when you live in Ottawa like I do). I actually squealed out loud when I watched and found out that he WOULD be making a stop with his show in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre on March 29, 2015. Then I tweeted about it, and Alton retweeted me, and it was like Christmas as far as I was concerned. I think we may be BFFs now.

What is “Alton Brown Live”? It’s been described to me as a food-based variety show and I can’t wait to check it out with my husband at the end of the month! Completely family friendly, our young daughters were actually crestfallen that they can’t come (it’s too late on a school night for them) because they love to watch Alton on “Cutthroat Kitchen”. You can see a sneak peek here. Apparently the first row or two is considered a ‘splatter zone’ and you will be issued a poncho! I look forward to seeing what Alton chooses at the dish that best represents Ottawa and how he puts his own twist on it.
