It’s no secret that as soon as the weather cools down, I’ve got a mug of tea in my hand. I am always happy to try something new – and my exploding tea cupboard will attest to this – so I was pleased to be approached by Kushi Teas to do a review. If you are not familiar with Kushi Teas, it is a Canadian company that offers premium, organic, loose leaf Napali teas to Canadians at a very reasonable price!
Fun fact: “Kushi” means “happy” in Nepalese! The company was founded by Tenzing Sherpa, who immigrated to Canada from Nepal and missed the tea culture that he was familiar with, and his close friend Dennis Lau. I was sent a sample of each of the teas that Kushi Teas carries and I have really enjoyed my time taste-testing. My current favourite is the Guranse Oolong which is a lovely amber colour and drinks well alone or with some agave syrup for a treat! There is a spiced oolong recipe on the Kushi Teas website that I keep meaning to try but haven’t yet. With the deep freeze that Ottawa is once again enduring, I think this might be the perfect week to make it!
All Kushi Teas orders over $50 ship for free in Canada, and every order includes three tea samples! You can also find Kushi Teas on Facebook or follow @KushiTeas on Twitter!
