Our Biodôme Experience

This week, we wanted to do some special March Break activities to break out of our usual routine and make some fun new memories. One place that we have wanted to visit since we moved to Ottawa isn’t in Ottawa at all, but is a day trip away in Montreal. We visited the Espace Pour La Vie Biodôme on Monday and had a great time! Driving from Ottawa to Montreal was no big deal for our kids, who are used to 5+ hour drives each way to visit their relatives. One tip: fill up your gas tank before Read more […]

Have you heard of SipSnap yet?

If you haven’t heard of SipSnap yet and you have small children, I am about to blow your mind. I’m filing this under “why didn’t I think of that?” I came across SipSnap on Kickstarter and I’m clearly not the only person who feels this way because the initial goal launch was met within 48 hours! Sativa Turner and Michelle Ivankovic are moms who have taken a very common problem and found an ingenious solution. Have you ever made the mistake of forgetting a sippy cup when you’ve left the Read more […]

Bixbee backpack adds sparkle to school (#giveaway)

I’m sure I’m not alone in this predicament. I let Ashlyn choose her own backpack in the summer and in a not-at-all-surprising turn of events, the $14 character backpack that was chosen has fallen to pieces already. Lucky for me, they said yes and a Bixbee Sparkalicious Backpack Read more […]

My March Break Plan

I admit it: I’m in a funk. A “for the love of Pete, is this winter never going to end?” funk. We’ve got a great routine of classes for the girls, play dates, my college classes, cleaning, and errands and I’m just getting tired of the same old, same old. I have high hopes that the time off at March Break will allow us to break free from our routine and shake things up with some out of the ordinary activities that will help all of us to have more fun and make the best of the tundra we’re still living Read more […]

Personal-Planner.com is keeping me organized all year long (#giveaway)

To say I’m a Type A personality would be putting things mildly. It’s barely March, there is still 4 feet of snow on the ground, and I’m obsessing with our summer plans. I have a planner from a previous review that I still really enjoy, but I had chosen a ‘student planner’ which goes from September to June with little or no space for summer plans. I’ve used my home calendar to fill the gap in the past but this year off the top of my head we have day trips, travel plans, day camps, blogging, and birthdays Read more […]
