Have some old-fashioned fun with board games from Wonder Forge (#giveaway)

2014HGGButton

Winter has arrived here in Ottawa, and after 3 days of cold I am almost ready to dig out some games that I have set aside for Christmas just to give us something new and fun to do! My friends at a Wonder Forge sent a board game for each of my daughters that I know they’ll love. I love board games because they can teach so many things while you play, and the really fun board games inspire all sorts of imaginative play and ‘house rules’ that really keep things interesting!

My 5 year old will be unwrapping Palace Pets Royal Pet Salon. Featuring Pumpkin (Cinderella’s puppy), Teacup (Belle’s puppy), Treasure (Ariel’s kitten), and Berry (Snow White’s bunny), this game promotes imaginative play, turn-taking and playing together, and counting as players move their pets from room to room in the 3D Royal Pet Salon looking for posh pet products, from fancy soaps and shampoos to tiaras, collars, and sweet treats—all hidden throughout the Salon! I’m pretty certain that the Palace Pet game pieces are going to be used for all sorts of imaginative games.

DisneyJrSuperStretchy

Disney Junior Super Stretchy is right in my wiggly 3 year old’s wheelhouse. Featuring many of our favourite Disney Junior characters, kids get to stretch their bodies while trying to reach as many characters, colours and shapes at the same time as possible. Players work as a team and improve their cooperation and physical dexterity at the same time. I should probably start my stretching now to prepare!
