Give your Disney fan Planes: Fire & Rescue this holiday

This summer, I took my girls to the movie theatre as a special treat and we saw Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. There was action, adventure and lots of laughs and my youngest daughter in particular really fell in love with the characters. She’s even picked a Dusty ornament for our Christmas tree this year! When my friends at Disney sent me a copy to review, while I was sure that Rowan would have loved to open it at Christmas, I knew I couldn’t keep it until  wraps for over a month. As soon as it arrived, into the Blu-ray player it went!

Bring home the thrill of a lifetime with Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. This heart-pumping comedy-adventure features a dynamic crew of elite aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfires. When world-famous air racer Dusty learns that he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with a team of veteran firefighters; together, they battle a massive fire, and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.

Both of my daughters loved this sequel more than the original! The extra features are really great, especially “Air Attack: Firefighters From The Sky” which teaches audiences about the real smoke jumpers and firefighters who attack wildfires from the air. I have a soft spot for this movie because back when I lived in Alberta I was a Logistics Coordinator in the provincial Forestry division, so I have first-hand experience with some of the machinery, if not the planes themselves, that are featured. Look for Planes: Fire & Rescue at a retailer near you!

We haven’t seen this yet, but I have a feeling Santa may be bringing it for our grandkids!
