It seems strange that it’s only Thursday night and yet it feels like the week is already over! We had a busy Sunday that included dinner with friends and the morning spent at the Carleton University Butterfly Show. This is an annual event and we try to go every year. This year it was just the girls and I and we remembered to bring our own orange slices to try and entice some butterflies to land in our hands. The girls found the experience to be magical!
The rest of the week has been a blur of the usual classes, homework, social visits and errands. Ashlyn has a four day weekend coming up because of Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, and we’re hosting my family here in Ottawa for the big dinner. We’ll be using our traditional turkey brine and the Pioneer Woman’s cornbread stuffing because it was such a big hit at Christmas dinner last year. I have an assignment due on Tuesday so once I have that under control, I’ll be back to blogging as much as I can. Rest assured, there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes for my Holiday Gift Guide that I can’t wait to share with you next month!
