VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch: so much more than just telling time

My husband and I have pretty extensive watch collections, so I wasn’t surprised when Ashlyn started asking for one for herself. Coincidently, I was contacted by a rep for VTech Canada about their Kidizoom Smartwatch and when I saw that it comes in bright pink, I knew Ashlyn would love it and I jumped at the chance to review one! The features on the VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch are crazy! I remember when each of these features would require a separate device, not to mention a trust fund, and now Read more […]

Can’t blog, watching Downton Abbey

My husband has been working some unusual hours this summer, so I needed to find something to watch while I’m on my own after the girls go to bed. I had heard of Downton, but I didn’t start to watch until recently, after a very good friend insisted that I watch it. Well, I’m hooked! I just finished season 3 last night and I have a feeling season 4 will be done by next weekend. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it – but not if you have other things to get done because once you start, Read more […]

Dino Dan: Tyrannosaurus Trek (#giveaway)

There are some topics that seem to be universally appealing to all children, and dinosaurs is one of them. Trek learns that he can see dinosaurs just like his older brother Dan!  His first dino experiment is to find out whether the Read more […]

Our Ikea Hack: adding a storage shelf to SUNDVIK children’s table

I’m so lucky to have a handy husband! We bought the Ikea SUNDVIK children’s table two years ago for Ashlyn’s birthday and while it’s still in great shape, it doesn’t seem as big now as it once did. I remember when we could get 6 toddlers to sit around it for snack time and now my own two daughters can barely share it when it comes time to do crafts. I thought about buying a second table and sitting them back to back, but this one table fits perfectly into the space that we have for it, and buying Read more […]

Octonauts: Calling all Sharks (#giveaway)

I have become quite a fan of having my daughters’ favourites shows on DVD. I used to think it was silly, but when we travel it’s nice to have a few shorter shows that we can put on at Grandma and Grandpa’s or when we’re visiting someone who doesn’t have Treehouse or Disney Junior available. The Octonauts are a new favourite around here and my daughters were very happy to open a package from NCircle Entertainment that contained “Octonauts: Calling All Sharks”! “In this new Octonauts release your Read more […]
