I have a few personal goals I’d like to achieve this summer, in addition to the usual “be a super fun, more relaxed Mom and have the best summer ever” stuff. I’m trying to bike more with the girls in the bike trailer instead of driving to close play dates and errands, I want to continue learning to crochet and make some doll booties as a starting project, and I want to get on top of my digital pictures. I’ve been making annual photo books using the digital scrapbooking software from my last My Memories post and I find it much easier to spend a few hours each month going through pictures and putting the ‘keepers’ into a folder to use later…except that I haven’t done it yet this year and I’m a little overwhelmed just thinking about it!
My Memories Suite was gracious enough to allow me to download their latest version and I’m loving the changes! Things are much more intuitive to find and use, and it runs a lot faster than my older version did. I haven’t been able to devote much time to it yet, but last Friday I did whip up a quick comparison of my daughter on her first and last day of Junior Kindergarten!
I chose to create my own layout this time, using a school themed kit that I had downloaded previously, but I love the quickpages that you can download – just insert your picture and you’re done! My Memories had lots of free kits that let you change things up at no cost and I plan to have some fun with some new digital papers and embellishments on the afternoons that are too hot to play outside. I’m also playing around with a decorative canvas for a season I don’t really want to think about right now, so stay tuned to see how that turns out!
