I tend to be a pretty loyal customer. Oh sure, sometimes I shop around and try something new, but if a company treats me right then I’ll be coming back and telling everyone I know about it. One company that I have been faithful to for years now is TELUS. My cell phone may be old and it may not be fancy (and it’s not – ask anyone I’ve tried to text!) but it works like I need it to and TELUS has been there to help me out whenever we’ve moved provinces or something has gone wrong. I’ve always been a fan of their ads – Christmas hippo, anyone? – and their latest campaign, #ActsOfCaring, got me pretty choked up. Check out the video below to see how they surprised Ramona, a long-time customer, with the experience of a lifetime:

Imagine feeling appreciated because they recognize that without us customers, they wouldn’t have a business. I know I certainly wouldn’t turn down a nice, relaxing day at Le Nordik followed by dinner at Navarra as a thank you from TELUS! Or maybe something a little more unorthodox, like hanging out with some manatees in Florida. With so many options out there these days, it’s more important than ever for me to feel like a company cares, even if it’s just a teeny tiny bit. Sure, TELUS wasn’t rewarding me for my loyalty, but they made me smile and that counts too. Seeing one act of caring can lead to a wonderful snowball effect that has a positive impact for everyone involved!
