She shoots, she scores with Little Tikes Clearly Sports Hockey and #MGAToybox

Is there anything more Canadian feeling than watching your kids play hockey? This may come as a bit of a surprise, but my daughters actually enjoy watching hockey (the Olympics were a big hit and they had a lot of fun watching their uncle play in a rec game a few weeks ago). For May’s installment of the #MGAToybox, MGA Entertainment sent me a Little Tikes Clearly Sports Hockey set. As soon as Rowan saw it, she told me with great excitement “now I can play hockey with Grandpa” and demanded that I open it immediately.

Her hand positioning could use a little work, but she’s got a killer follow through! I appreciate that the Little Tikes Clearly Sports Hockey set comes with two sticks AND two pucks. This means that two children can play a game together, or they can use their own stick and puck at the same time. The pucks store inside of each stick so I never have to worry about losing them! Two more key features of the pucks: the balls inside of the pucks make noise so “every shot sounds like a goal shot” and they have moulded in gliders to help them achieve maximum distance when hit because lets face it, many of our kids think they’re connecting much better than what’s happening in reality.

I love this set and I think the best part is that the puck is stored in the stick itself! Very cool!

This looks like a lot of fun. My young daughter seems to be quite interested in sports, so I think she would like this.

Oh my gosh my younger daughter would love this – she is always trying to play hockey! She picks up golf clubs, brooms, large bubble wands etc and proclaims “Hockey” each time while trying to find something to use as a puck. I love that this comes with two sticks and two pucks, because although my older daughter is less interested in hockey on her own, I am sure she would be very interested once her sister started playing – that’s always the way in our house, one wants to be doing what the other is! Neat that the pucks store in the sticks too – I am an organization nut and extra little details like this make me happy. :-)
