I’m not big on having duplicates of toys in our house. Since my daughters are just under 2 years apart in age, they have a lot of the same interests and aren’t that far apart in height or weight. Most of the time, they share…or more accurately, they fight a bit, whine and cry, and I make the decision about who’s turn it is or if the item should be taken away until they’re ready to share. I could tell that our PlasmaCar was going to be one of those coveted items this year.
It’s been two years since my first PlasmaCar feature and last summer, Rowan claimed our purple PlasmaCar as hers. It’s actually the perfect size for an older toddler to use as a ride on toy and she had so much fun on it! This year, she still considers the purple PlasmaCar to be ‘hers’ and while she and her older sister could share it, since they’re safe for up to 220 lbs on smooth surfaces, it seemed like we would all have more fun if we added a second PlasmaCar to our collection. When I found out that one of this year’s new colour options was pink and purple, there was no question about it!
The design is still the same; the PlasmaCar comes in 7 pieces and took me a few minutes to put together using a mallet and a socket wrench (not included). Lucky Rowan was the only one home so she got to take the new PlasmaCar for it’s inaugural spin. Based on her picture above, I think she’s a fan!
Ashlyn loves having her own PlasmaCar to play on, and she’s really got the hang of the steering wheel wiggle that you do to get the PlasmaCar to move. Their website says that the PlasmaCar “harnesses the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, friction, and kid power” and I agree! It’s a fun way to encourage kids to be active outside, especially when you have more than one because you know what will inevitably happen? PlasmaCar races!
You can find PlasmaCar on Facebook and follow @PlasmaCar on Twitter to find out more and join the conversation!
One lucky reader will win a PlasmaCar in their choice of colour!
