The Pirate Fairy sets sail on Blu-ray today!

This is no April Fools day prank! Today, Tinker Bell and the rest of the Pixie Hollow gang are back in an all-new movie sure to captivate your whole family. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of the Pirate Fairy so we’ve watched it 3 times already. {As an aside, the best way I’ve ever found to impress my daughters is to tell them that I was able to get a Tinker Bell movie before it was in the stores!}
The Pirate FairyFrom the world of “Peter Pan” comes “The Pirate Fairy,” a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, “The Pirate Fairy” sets sail April 1, 2014.
I am an unabashed Tink fan and this is the latest in their string of exciting, funny and heartwarming movies. Both of my daughters love “The Pirate Fairy” and we’ve had all sorts of different conversations thanks to the many plot points, like science and experiments (due to Zarina’s curiousity) and the importance of working as a team (since the fairies talents are switched). Listening to Tom Hiddleston as the voice of James isn’t too bad either and baby Crocky is adorable and is great comic relief. While our favourite moments are all different, and a couple are key plot points that I’d hate to spoil, I will say that the big finale is a showstopper. We’re already looking forward to the next installment thanks to a trailer for “Legend of the Neverbeast” that runs before “The Pirate Fairy”!
