Sativa Turner and Michelle Ivankovic are moms who have taken a very common problem and found an ingenious solution. Have you ever made the mistake of forgetting a sippy cup when you’ve left the house, or assumed a restaurant that has a kid’s meal would also have cups with lids but they don’t? My daughters are old enough to use regular cups now, but they still knock them over, or fling the straw that is placed in the glass out or find some other way to make a mess. The solution is the SipSnap: a BPA- and phthalate-free, dishwasher safe, best quality silicone lid that will stretch to fit over any, and they mean any, sized cup to make it spill-proof. There are two versions: the Tot (with a spout for younger babies and toddlers) and the Kid (with a straw hole that also expands to fit different sized straws). They will come in packs of three and a carry case so you can keep one in your purse or diaper bag for those spontaneous meals out, send one to Grandma’s house and have a spare in the dishwasher.
SipSnap is on Kickstarter as a way to raise the funds to start producing this product. If you pledge a certain amount, you will receive a set of SipSnaps when they go into production this summer. Click on the links above if you are interested in backing the SipSnap!
