Groovy Girls by Manhattan Toy have been a favourite in our house since we received Cali Candy Cane last year. Ashlyn laid claim to Cali the moment she arrived, so this year it’s going to be fun for each of my girls to find a special Groovy Girl and an outfit from Manhattan Toy under the tree!
I particularly love Groovy Girls because they are so cute and totally age-appropriate for little girls. There are no questionable outfits or double entendre names that are borderline inappropriate for children; just sweet faces, happy smiles and soft bodies perfect for playing and snuggling. Groovy Girls are meant to “encourage every little girl’s sense of self-identity and individualism, celebrate friendship and diversity and validate the fact that girls are important in the world”, and they’re awfully fun to play with too!
After much deliberation, I chose Princess Isabella and the Purplerific dress for Ashlyn, who is still on a big princess and purple kick. Rowan will find Dreamtastic Becca Butterfly and Red She Said on Christmas morning.
I know that since my daughters are still a little young, they’ll need a little assistance when they want to change their Groovy Girls, but it won’t be long until they can do it on their own. I can’t wait to see what adventures they imagine as they play with their new friends!
One lucky reader will win their choice of one Groovy Girls doll from Manhattan Toy!
