There are going to be lots of games under our tree this year and I’m excited to share them with my daughters! While I love how they play with their toys, spending time as a family playing a game is a fun childhood memory of mine and I’m looking forward to creating similar memories for our girls. Educational Insights sent me a couple of fun things that will have the girls laughing, learning and exploring.
First up is Raccoon Rumpus™: A game of costumes, critters, matching, and memory! Raccoons have raided your closet and now they’re having a party. Help these masked bandits get dressed—the critter that collects the most costumes wins. But watch out for the underwear or you’ll lose all your costumes and have to begin again. Includes 4 raccoon cards, 20 costume cards, 1 jumbo color die, 1 jumbo costume die, and game guide and a bonus memory game! For 2–4 players.
I know that Ashlyn is going to love a game that revolves around playing dress up! I’ve taken this game out and I was really impressed with the quality of the cards; they seem very sturdy and like they will hold up for many games. They’re really cute too!
Next are the GeoSafari® Jr. Kidnoculars™: The only binoculars designed specifically for little kids! Enlarged focus-free eyepieces—more than three times the size of ordinary binoculars—and perfect-fit goggles with placement guide enable kids (even toddlers) to see up close!
I don’t know what it is about binoculars, but my daughters and almost all of their friends go crazy for them. I’m pleased to have a version that is made just for kids, so it will fit their little faces properly and withstand the inevitable abuse that will befall them.
Both items are available at Amazon.ca for a suggested retail price of $16.99 CDN and are suggested for ages 3+. You can also sign up for Educational Insights newsletter here.
