Fly into fun with “Room on the Broom” (giveaway)

From the same team that brought you The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child (both favourites in our house), NCircle Entertainment has released Room on the Broom on dvd this month and we were very happy to receive a copy to review!

Based on the #1 best-selling children’s book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Alex Scheffler, it’s the story of a witch who has quite an adventure as she rides on her broom one night, losing things and making friends as she goes.

I love the animation style of this movie. There are so many little details to notice and all of the dialogue seems to be directly taken from the book; it’s great for quiet time in the afternoon because it’s a very entertaining but calm DVD and my girls will sit and pay attention to the story. My 4 year old loves the ending (she specifically told me to put that into my review) and there are tons of Room on the Broom activities to print and enjoy at NCircle Entertainment, like this cute colouring sheet:

Room on the Broom is available at retailers now for a suggested retail price of $9.99.

Currently my kids really love a book called Oscar. About a cat who goes in search of milk on the moon but eats to much floats away and then has to burp his way back to earth. Its always a good laugh.

We recently borrowed “Winnie the Witch” from the library and Kirra was obsessed with the second story “Winnie and Winter”. Even now, after the book is back at the library, she keeps asking for “The snow one!” at bedtime :)
