Huge $500 Children’s Place gift card giveaway

It feels absolutely criminal to me that I’m spending so much time thinking about school when summer has hardly begun, but with Ashlyn heading to junior kindergarten in September it’s never far from my mind! I started ‘back to school’ clothes shopping in the spring when all of last year’s winter clothes went on sale and trying to figure out what will be appropriate – and fit – was certainly making me wish that my little girl would be attending a school with a uniform or dress code.

We’ve been fans of The Children’s Place ever since Ashlyn was born so even though she doesn’t ‘need’ to wear a uniform, we can still add a few pieces into her back to school wardrobe. I love their skorts (perfect for playing on the playground and sitting for circle time) and that bow puts it over the top. The shoes are cute but also practical, since they have non-marking, rubber soles which are required at my daughter’s school for indoor shoes.

This adorable embellished knit blazer is actually French terry made of 100% cotton! That’s right, it’s a fancy sweatshirt. This means it will be comfy, easy to clean and still looks great – what else can a mom want in an item of clothing? I can’t wait to take Ashlyn shopping for a special first day of Junior Kindergarten outfit!

I don’t have a little girl, but I would personally wear that blazer if they made them in my size! So preppy!

The first outfit with the pleated skort and pink shirt. Outfits like that make me sad I don’t have a girl.

I love the Navy skirt; it’s formal enough for a uniform bottom, but with a cute embellishment.
