Read, create and have fun with LEGO Friends (giveaway)

I love it when we can combine a few things that we really enjoy into one activity. Our whole family loves to read and it’s no secret that we love LEGO, so I was happy to have a chance to review the Ultimate Sticker Collection: LEGO Friends and LEGO Friends: Brickmaster books!

Like a lot of 2 year olds, Rowan loves to play with stickers.  The Ultimate Sticker Collection: LEGO Friends comes with over 1,000 stickers which will keep both girls busy for a long time! This is a fun book that Rowan likes to “read” to herself by pointing at the pictures and talking about what she sees. It’s also a great introduction to the LEGO Friends world because it explains all about Heartlake City and the girls who live there. Each page has lots of places to add stickers (and each sticker is well-labelled so you know exactly where it belongs), but my favourite part are the pages and pages of extra stickers at the back so the girls can make up their own scenes and stories!

“When the girls of Heartlake City are around, there’s always something cool to do!

Now young girls everywhere are invited to join in the fun with DK’s LEGO® Friends: Brickmaster. They can follow Mia and Chloe as they search for buried treasure hidden somewhere in Heartlake City or create an adventure of their very own. Featuring more than 100 bricks, two minifigures, and an entertaining book packed with exciting stories and clear building instructions, the LEGO® Friends: Brickmaster will bring creativity and fun together in a way like never before!”

I hardly had the Brickmaster book out of the box before Ashlyn was begging me to get the LEGO bricks open and ready to go! Since she’s not quite 4, she still needs lots of help building the scenes. Thankfully for me, each chapter has very detailed instructions on how to build all of the scenes! Ashlyn has a blast playing with Mia and Chloe and it’s fun to read the book and act it out, or just turn to a page and build something. This was a great introduction to LEGO Friends and I’m sure we’re going to have quite a collection on our hands over the next few years.
PhotobucketTWO lucky readers will each win a prize pack that includes both the Ultimate Sticker Collection: LEGO Friends and LEGO Friends: Brickmaster books!
