Celebrate your memories with Mailpix (giveaway)

The holidays are upon us and while many of us are scrambling to finish our shopping and prep the big meal, I know some people are thinking ahead to their New Year’s resolutions.  Mine will revolve around organization this year, especially with regards to our picture situation!  I take what feels like a billion pictures every month, post a ton to Facebook to share with our family and friends, and have great intentions of printing them out, or making a photo book, or making a scrapbook….and then life gets in the way and all of a sudden I’m months behind and overwhelmed.  Enter MailPix!

MailPix is an online site that lets you upload your pictures from Facebook, Instagram or your computer.  Then you can create all sorts of wonderful things like calendars, photo books, greeting cards, photo gifts…the list goes on and on!

So far, I have ordered a 2013 calendar, a photo book of our trip to New York City, some Christmas cards and a couple of the snowflake ornaments.  Each program that I’ve used has been quite user-friendly and I had a lot of fun with the calendar and photo book.  The quality has been very high on all of my projects and I’m particularly pleased with our Christmas ornament pictured above!  I just wish I’d thought to add the year to the picture before I had it printed, but that’s easily fixed with a little DIY effort.  I did find that the photo book cut closer to the bottom of the page than I had expected, so make sure to leave yourself a little wiggle room.

My goal this year is to start a photo book in January and keep on top of it by using pictures I’ve already uploaded (and therefor pre-screened for maximum cuteness) to my Facebook account.  If I take just a little bit of time on a regular basis, I have hope that at the end of the year I’ll have our memories all ready to print and enjoy!  One thing that I really appreciated is that each item has shipped to me when it’s ready, instead of having my whole order held up for one component.  The ornaments came in their own Styrofoam contains so there was no worry about any damage occurring during the shipping process.

Make sure that you check out the MailPix deals page because they have some amazing promotions – until the end of December, calendars are only $9!  You can also find MailPix on FacebookMailPix on Twitter, read the MailPix blog and follow MailPix on Pinterest.
