My girls are so excited for Halloween this year; every morning Ashlyn asks if she gets to go trick or treating today! Clearly creating anticipation for Halloween isn’t a problem around here. We’ve been watching “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That – Tricks and Treats” and “WordWorld – A Kooky, Spooky Halloween” since last October so I was very happy to be able to introduce the girls to a brand new Halloween movie from NCircle, “Sid the Science Kid – Sid’s Spooky Halloween”.
We watched “Sid’s Spooky Halloween” twice in a row this afternoon, which should be an indication of how much we enjoyed it! As always, Ashlyn learned a bunch of fun scientific facts – for example, did you know that bats help the environment by spreading seeds in their poop? – and danced to fun songs. I learned that the magic recipe for goop is 1 cup of cornstarch and 1 cup of water and we have plans to give that a try tomorrow afternoon.
One lucky reader will win a copy of “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That – Tricks and Treats”, “WordWorld – A Kooky, Spooky Halloween” and “Sid the Science Kid – Sid’s Spooky Halloween”!
