Wordless Wednesday – NYC!

My husband and I took a trip to NYC to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary – our first trip away from the little ones by ourselves! We had an amazing time, ate our way through our favourite Food Network stars (gelato at Eataly was incredible, dinner at Les Halles – Anthony Bourdain, and the most amazing lunch at Bar Americain – Bobby Flay, who I adore, amongst so very much more) and got to reconnect as adults, not just parents.
The most powerful part of our trip had to do with 9/11. We landed on September 11 and that night we walked near Ground Zero and saw this:
A couple of days later we visited Ground Zero and it was such a moving experience.
We’re already planning our next trip to New York, once will not be enough!
