Rarely a day goes by in our house without a few dress up games being played, so it’s no surprise to me that A is already excited for Halloween! There are so many possibilities for girls costumes now: superheroes, animals, fairies, and of course, princesses.
Whenever we have a play date, inevitibly the girls dress up in the fairy and princess dresses that we have, so it was no surprise to me that A chose a beautiful golden princess costume. The dress is long and sparkly and has a little hoop to keep it’s shape, and it comes with the glovelets (tiara, shoes and wand sold separately).
Here is my little princess, who insisted that she put on her new costume as soon as it arrived. Please note: her eyes are closed on purpose, as apparently this is how princesses pose! I had a hard time getting A out of her princess costume, and almost every morning she asks me if it’s Halloween yet. I think I may have to hide new costume until a little closer to the big day.
I’m going to have to hem it as it’s quite long for my 3 year old – which makes sense as the small is a size 4-6 – but I love that the hoop in the skirt means that it won’t get tangled around her feet once I get it to the right length. It also gives enough room for some warm pants to be worn underneath, which is important where we live as you just never know if there will be snow on Halloween or not!
Are your children excited for Halloween yet? What do they want to dress up as this year?
