Wordless Wednesday – NYC!

My husband and I took a trip to NYC to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary – our first trip away from the little ones by ourselves!  We had an amazing time, ate our way through our favourite Food Network stars (gelato at Eataly was incredible, dinner at Les Halles – Anthony Bourdain, and the most amazing lunch at Bar Americain – Bobby Flay, who I adore, amongst so very much more) and got to reconnect as adults, not just parents.   The most powerful part of our trip had to do with 9/11.  Read more […]

Kidorable makes the end of bathtime fun

One battle we almost never have to fight in our house is getting the girls into the tub.  Bubbles, toys, each other and water to splash in – can you blame them for loving it so much that they never want to get out?  One way to coax the three year old out is with a cool towel and she was happy to pick out the Lucky Cat cotton hooded towel from Kidorable to try. Just keep swimming – Finding Nemo is in Disney 3D!

  It’s not often that I get to spend time one-on-one outside of our home with my 3 year old.   Now that she’s not napping, and her little sister isn’t nursing, it’s fun to plan a ‘date’ and spend some special Mommy/big girl time together.  When I asked A if she’d like to see one of her favourite movies, “Finding Nemo” in Disney 3D at the movie theatre, she jumped at the chance – as long there would be popcorn, of course. First day of nursery school

A’s first day of preschool was on Friday.  Do you think she was a little excited?
