Summer time fun with Lalaloopsy

What’s better than playing mermaid in the backyard kiddie pool?  Having a Lalaloopsy mermaid doll to play with!  MGA Entertainment sent my 3 year old a “Coral Sea Shells” and she’s been A’s constant companion for all sorts of adventures.

Coral was sewn out of a swimmer’s bathing suit (all Lalaloopsy’s are rag-dolls that have magically come to life; their personalities are reflective of the material that they were made from) and she has a pet blow fish.  A’s favourite part of Coral is that she comes with a bathing suit AND a mermaid tail!

I really like that A has a doll that is supposed to get wet.  Coral’s hair changes from pink to purple if the water she is in (or that is poured over her) is cold enough but since the girls don’t exactly like swimming in freezing water we haven’t had much opportunity to check that out.  We do have a tub for dolls now so I’ll have to fill it up with very cold water one day and let A play with it in the back yard!

Coral Sea Shells has been a hit in our house both in and out of the water.   Her pet blow fish is also a water toy that squirts water which adds to the fun!   A likes to ‘swim’ her around in the pool and when we’re done I do my best to get the water out of Coral’s head (you have to squeeze it pretty hard – don’t let the kids see you or they could be a little traumatized!) and then we let her dry out on a towel.  When Coral is ready to come inside, she gets changed into her bathing suit and she’s ready for some indoor adventures.   Check out the other great products that MGA Entertainment has to add something special to your child’s summer fun!
