Milk Nursingwear (giveaway)

I have nursed in all sorts of random places since Ashlyn was born almost 2.5 years ago: Olympic venues in Vancouver, casino lobbies in Las Vegas, too many malls and restaurants to mention.  While I (clearly) have no problem with nursing in public, I also do my best to keep things as discrete as possible.  One way to do that is to wear a shirt specifically designed for nursing, but it can be really hard to find nursingwear that is stylish and easy to use. Milk Nursingwear has a wide variety Read more […]

What’s for breakfast – Gingerbread Pancakes

We’re big breakfast fans around here.  Every weekend, Ashlyn wakes up and askes for either pancakes of waffles with “sup-ups” (syrup) and I like to have a few options for variety.  A friend of mine shared this recipe on Facebook and it’s made it into the recipe book – Rowan even had a taste and loved it!  It’s got that holiday feel, perfect for Thanksgiving and Christmas breakfasts with friends and family. GINGERBREAD PANCAKES Ingredients 3 eggs 1/2 cup milk 1 tbsp molasses 1 Read more […]

Are you Scared Shrekless?

This is the first year that Ashlyn has been old enough to understand what goes on at Halloween, and it’s all she wants to talk about these days!  Luckily for us,  DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. has released a Double DVD Pack of Scared Shrekless and Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space, just in time for Halloween.   “In Scared Shrekless, the gang gathers to celebrate Shrek’s favorite holiday: Halloween!  But instead of the usual tricks or treats, Shrek ups the ante and challenges Read more […]

RECIPES FOR LIFE: My Memories (giveaway)

I love to find new recipes to try, especially in unexpected places.  “RECIPES FOR LIFE: My Memories” by Linda Evans combines stories from her life as an actress (you probably remember her best as Krystle Carrington on “Dynasty”) with the recipes that remind her of those times.  I’m dying to try out some from John Wayne! Recipes for Life is Linda’s second book and you can purchase a copy here.  You can also enter to win one of three copies at the bottom of this post! Linda’s book will Read more […]

Wordless Wednesday – Tea Time

My husband gave me this fabulous tea pot for Christmas almost 2 years ago and it gets used almost daily from fall through spring.  I need my coffee in the morning, but I’m a tea girl the rest of the day!
