Happy Halloween from NCircle (giveaway)

Can you believe Halloween is next week?  When the weather isn’t cooperating, it’s nice to have a movie or two to watch and if they can sneak some education in with the entertainment, then so much the better!  NCircle Entertainment has released two DVDs with a Halloween theme: WordWorld’s “Kooky Spooky Halloween” and The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About That’s “Tricks and Treats”. Ashlyn has really enjoyed both episodes of WordWorld (Kooky Spooky Halloween and Sheep’s Halloween Costume) and Read more […]

Strider The No Pedal PREbike

This summer, we went through 3 different tricycles for Ashlyn, trying to find just the right one.  One was given to her as a gift last year and it’s STILL too tall for her (even with those pedal extenders that I think are a huge accident waiting to happen), one had a seat that made her slide back too far, and the last one she still can’t figure out how to pedal.  How I wish I had found Strider The No Pedal PREbike months ago! Our Fall Family Pictures

I love the colours of fall and since the girls are growing so fast (Ashlyn is 2.5 and Rowan is already 7 months old) we took some time this morning to brave the cool fall weather to have some family pictures taken outdoors in Ottawa.  I’m already trying to figure out where we can display them! All pictures taken by the incredibly talented Elizabeth Fulton Photography. Read more […]

What’s for dinner – Tuna Noodle Casserole

It’s been cold and rainy and very “fall” like around here and I wanted to make some comfort food for dinner the other night.  This recipe comes from the mom of a childhood friend of mine; I actually had to call my mom to get it because I’d lost my copy and nothing that I could find online sounded right.  The secret ingredient?  Chow mein noodles! TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE Ingredients 1 can cream of mushroom soup 3/4 can milk 1 can tuna, drained and flaked 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 small Read more […]
