What’s for dinner – cornbread

My husband made some cornbread a few years ago and still talks about how good it was…except that for the life of him, he can’t remember where the recipe was from.  He was very happy when I came across this recipe the other day and decided to make it last night. NCircle’s Animal ABCs and 123s (giveaway)

Teaching children doesn’t have to be a formal lesson.  It can be done in all sorts of fun ways, including “sneaking” some education into their DVDs! We were sent Animal ABC’s and Animal 123’s by NCircle to review and I had high hopes of using them to entertain Ashlyn during our recent drive from Ontario to New Brunswick but our DVD player picked that inopportune time to break.  Once we got home we popped Animal 123’s in the DVD player to give us some time to unpack and Ashlyn loved it! On the road again!

We’re heading out on a family vacation out East again, to visit with my husband’s family.  It’s going to be crazy with a 3 month old and a 2 year old, but I think I’m prepared.  We’re looking at about 8.5 hours of driving the first day, then about 5 the next day – not including stops to feed the baby, change the baby/toddler, eat meals, and just stretch.  Within reaching distance I’ll have tons of snacks (mostly for Ashlyn but some for us too) lots of books (so happy to have our Kindles) DVDs crayons Read more […]

Gripstic

There is nothing I hate more than wasting money, and when I have to throw out food because it’s gone stale it makes me crazy.  We have various clips to keeps bags closed but I never seem to have the right size available when I need it.
