Curious Critters (giveaway)
A new book is one of my favourite ‘treats’ to give to Ashlyn. They don’t take up as much space as toys, and are good for hours of entertainment! We try to expose our girls to lots of different subjects, so when the opportunity to review Curious Critters came up I was happy to add it to our collection.
Curious Critters is written and photographed by David FitzSimmons. All of the animals were photographed against white backgrounds, which really allows each animal to shine. The photographs are just gorgeous and full of detail! Each animal is named and has a chance to show its personality through a short “conversation” that David imagined.
Ashlyn enjoys flipping through the pages on her own and with me and her daddy. Every time we look, we find some new detail to discuss. Because the animals are common in North America, we can talk about where we might find a big brown bat, or how the southern flying squirrel is similar to the squirrels that run across our fence.
