I have nursed in all sorts of random places since Ashlyn was born almost 2.5 years ago: Olympic venues in Vancouver, casino lobbies in Las Vegas, too many malls and restaurants to mention. While I (clearly) have no problem with nursing in public, I also do my best to keep things as discrete as possible. One way to do that is to wear a shirt specifically designed for nursing, but it can be really hard to find nursingwear that is stylish and easy to use.
Milk Nursingwear has a wide variety of nursingwear – everything from tanks to longsleeved shirts to dresses! I was sent the Empire scoop neck nursing top in berry to review and I tried it out for the first time over Thanksgiving weekend. Unlike most of the nursing tops that I’ve seen, the Empire has an empire seam that lifts up for access.
Because the top lifts up, everything stays nicely covered. Rowan is at that super fun stage of whipping her head around whenever it sounds like something interesting is going on, so I appreciated being able to cover up quickly when she’d lose interest in eating momentarily. It’s also a great length and the fabric was very forgiving!
My husband thought it was a pretty top and didn’t realize at first that it was nursingwear, which is a huge plus to me! I wish I’d discovered Milk Nursingwear with my first baby.
