Although it may be hard to believe, since we have 2 daughters, we’re actually not over-run with baby toys. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve got plenty of toys, but not a lot that are safe and appropriate for Rowan to use at 5 months old. She’s getting to that fun age where she can pick up toys and is interesting in playing, so we were happy to add Bright Starts Pretty in Pink Put and Take Purse to our collection.
Featuring a large plastic purse with a bow that plays different sounds, it comes with with 5 accessories (cell phone featuring numbers and rattle beads, 2 pieces of crinkle money, a teether key, and a heart shaped mirror). The suggested age is 3+months, but funnily enough, it’s actually very popular with my 2 year old as well as the baby!
So many baby toys are only good for a short stage, but I can really see the Bright Starts Pretty in Pink Put and Take Purse being a toy that lasts in our house. Right now, Rowan is perfectly happy to play with – and chew on! – the crinkle money and look at herself in the heart mirror. Once she starts sitting up, she’s going to love putting the accessories into the purse and then taking them out, which she will be able to do easily since the mouth of the purse is so wide. Ashlyn, at 2, loves to carry the purse around and pretend to talk on the cell phone/rattle.
Another great feature is that a portion of the proceeds from this item supports breast cancer charities! The Bright Starts Pretty in Pink Put and Take Purse has a suggested retail value of $13.99 and is available in US at Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, Target, Toys R Us and Walmart.
