Babies love to be held, especially when they’re brand new. While I love newborn snuggles just as much as the next mommy, I don’t always have the luxery of lounging on the couch and soaking them up. There are things to be cleaned, laundry to fold, toddlers to wrangle; Mommy needs her hands! This is where a good carrier becomes a necessity and Sleepy Wrap is perfect for helping Mommy to keep her baby happy while keeping her hands free.
I have a few carriers (my love of carriers is second only to my love of diaper bags/purses it seems) but I had never used a wrap before Rowan was born. I was intimidated by the fact that it’s just one long piece of fabric and I’d have to learn to tie it. Turns out it’s actually really easy! After practicing twice, I didn’t need to look at the instructions to do the upright infant hold (which is what is recommended for new babies).
Please excuse the outfit and my general appearance – I was taking advantage of my husband being home and available to take a picture! Rowan was 2 weeks old and roughly 8lbs here:

Here’s my little snuggle bug, all cozy and sound asleep in the Sleepy Wrap.

The Sleepy Wrap is easy to use and easy to take anywhere, thanks to the little pouch that comes with it. Just fold up the wrap and place it in the pouch (or stuff it in if you’re in a hurry like I usually am) and it’s ready to go. Amongst other things, I’ve used my wrap for walks with my toddler when it’s nice out, and to get housework done – things I definitely couldn’t have done so easily without the Sleepy Wrap! It never fails to put Rowan to sleep (hence the name, I’m sure) which is a wonderful bonus.
