Twice As Nice Boutique – review & giveaway

Twice As Nice Boutique is an Etsy store run by a mom, and it shows!  Karen makes quality sleep sacks in gorgeous fabrics that rival any that you can find in a baby boutique, but without the huge price tag. For review, I was sent a Teal Leaves sleep sack in size 12-24 months.  The fabric is gorgeous, and it’s fully lined with a matching teal flannel which keeps Ashlyn cozy without overheating.  This is a great weight for all seasons, as far as I can tell – it wouldn’t be too hot in the summer Read more […]

For review, I was sent Read more […]

Halloween decorations

Sadly, this is all of the Halloween decorating that we’ve done. I go all out for Christmas and usually my husband does for Halloween, but most of our outside decorations haven’t survived two moves (and two provinces) and we just haven’t picked up anything here. I think I’ll be making a trip to Shoppers and Dollarama this afternoon to see what’s left! Read more […]

What’s for breakfast – Pumpkin Coffee Cake

With Thanksgiving either over (if you’re Canadian) or approaching (if you’re American), Halloween right around the corner and Christmas none too far away, baking is at an all-time high in my household.  When fall arrives, I love to use pumpkin but I don’t always want to bake a pie.  Then I found this killer coffee cake in my Make Ahead Meals Busy Moms cookbook by Jane Doiron.  It was super easy to make and disappeared in no time! I made the batter in the afternoon and baked it that night, Read more […]
