Getting in the Christmas spirit

I’ve started my baking and have a list of more goodies to bake this weekend (check back next week for some of my favourite recipes), my nuts & bolts have been made and are mostly gone already, and I’m hoping to get my Christmas tree up on Saturday or Sunday.  It’s beginning to feel and look a lot like Christmas in our household, but one important thing is missing…..the music!

I love Christmas music, everything from Bing Crosby to Mariah Carey.  The problem I’m having this year though is that, much as I hate to admit it, I’m bored of the music that I have.  I love to sing along with my favourites – any version of O Holy Night; anything from White Christmas; Carol of the Bells; and of course, All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah – but I need something new and fresh, or at least different, this year.

What are YOU listening to?  I’d appreciate any and all recommendations.  It doesn’t have to be a brand new album that just came out (although those are good), it could be something that you’ve listened to for years, I just need to change things up a bit!

My favourite is Andre Rieu – it’s a classical CD but it’s awesome!

Anne Murray and Garth Brooks Christmas CD’s were always played when I was a kid.

    Some funny ones I love:
‘Grandma got runover by a reindeer’
    ‘Redneck 12 days of Christmas’
